Gas Station Employee Accused of Stealing Almost $37k in Lottery Tickets

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): A former Fort Wayne gas station employee is accused of stealing almost $37,000 in lottery tickets from her employer.

38 year old Coreenia Carroll was charged Wednesday with eight counts of theft. She's accused of taking $36,972 worth lottery tickets from a storage area of a Fort Wayne BP gas station and redeeming them elsewhere between December 1, 2014 and March 17, 2015.

She can also be seen on video scratching the lottery tickets, according to the Journal-Gazette. Investigators had a hard time locating her until she was charged Wednesday.
