Big Pot Find for Elkhart County Police

ELKHART COUNTY, Ind. (WOWO): A big pot find for police in Elkhart County, as an officer found more than 500 marijuana plants growing near Elkhart Central High School last week.

Officials say that the plants appeared to be growing wild and where not cultivated. Police contacted school leaders last week after receiving a tip about the plants whereabouts.

It may sound odd, but wild pot plants aren't all that uncommon. The Elkhart Truth reports that state police get rid of thousands upon thousands every year. Police are not conducting a criminal investigation.
