Indiana Gains More Manufacturing Jobs

INDIANA, (WOWO): For the 2nd year in a row, Indiana gained more manufacturing jobs. In fact, Indiana is doing better than the nation.

With more than 8,000 new jobs, it's an increase of nearly 1-and-a-half percent compared to an increase just half-a-percent for other states. According to numbers from the Indiana Manufacturers Association, the Hoosier State has added 64,000 manufacturing jobs since the industry bottomed out in June 2009. Indiana is believed to be attractive to manufacturers because of its low cost of doing business, skilled workforce and central location.
