LAFAYETTE, Ind. (AP): Activists against possible U.S. military strikes in Syria marched from the Purdue University campus to downtown Lafayette.
About two dozen people took part in the march Thursday evening, with many holding signs with sayings such as “No More Wars.''
Lafayette Area Peace Coalition member Frank Rosenthal tells the Journal & Courier he believes President Barack Obama's plan to strike Syria because of its chemical weapons attack is “a knee-jerk, aggressive reaction.''
Unitarian Universalist Rev. Charlie Davis tells WLFI-TV that more violence isn't going to solve the problem.
The march ended at the Tippecanoe County Courthouse, near a district office of Congressman Todd Rokita.
