New Energy Plan in the Works for Indiana

INDIANAPOLIS (WOWO): Indiana, once the 5th lowest state in regard to energy costs for industrial customers, is now the 27th lowest in the country. Now, the Indiana Office of Energy Development is beginning the process of crafting a new energy plan for the state. The current plan was written in 2006. Governor Pence’s Roadmap for Indiana called for a new plan based on: taking advantage of all the state’s energy resources, improving options available to energy consumers, and commercializing new energy technologies. The Office of Energy Development will finish the plan and submit recommendations in June of next year.
