BREMEN, Ind (WOWO): A 19-year-old man has been charged in the death and burning of a 15-year-old Bremen girl whose body was found in December.
Fabian Roman Rubio was charged with one count each of murder, sexual misconduct with a minor and abuse of a corpse, the Marshall County Prosecutor's Office announced Monday, May 4.
The body of Desirae Jones was found burned in a wooded area on Fifth Road south of Bremen on Dec. 19. An autopsy revealed that Jones died of blunt force trauma.
Rubio was arrested Monday morning on unrelated charges of rape and sexual misconduct with a minor. When police searched his truck, they found blood on clothes, a hammer and inside the truck. The blood matched Jones’ DNA.
