Country Evenly Split on Gay Marriage Issue

President Barack Obama’s endorsement of gay marriage has done little to shift the nation’s views on the subject. A new AP poll finds that the public remains evenly split on the issue, but that Obama’s core supporters are fired up…at least for now. More young people, liberals, democrats and even moderates now have a strongly favorable view of Obama’s handling of same-sex marriage than before he made history as the first sitting president to back such rights.
