Two Dead in Shooting

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): Fort Wayne police are investigating the shooting deaths of two people early this morning.

Officers were called to the intersection of E Wayne and Harmar Streets, a few blocks away from the Indiana Institute of Technology, at 12:46am to find an SUV parked in the street… inside were the bodies of a man and a woman. Both had a number of gunshot wounds, and were pronounced dead at the scene.

Officer Chris Felton says at this time, police do not know the ages of either victim, or what type of relationship they had. It is also too early to tell if this incident has any relation to previous shootings, or if it is isolated.

Police say a nearby resident heard “five or six” gunshots, and called police. Some shell casings were found on the scene, but police couldn't find a weapon, nor a suspect. They're asking anybody who saw or heard what happened to contact police immediately.
