East Noble theater alumni nominate teacher for Tony Award

KENDALLVILLE, Ind. (WOWO): For about 50 years, Craig Munk has dedicated his life to teaching students theater at East Noble High School. His past students recently found a way to properly thank him.

The alumni of the East Noble High School theater program nominated Munk for the Excellence in Theater Education Award from the Tony Awards and Carnegie Mellon University.

The group surprised Munk on Monday as they prepared for the theater program’s 50th anniversary. East Noble’s theater program started in 1966 and Munk joined as Director of Theater in 1968.

Anyone who wishes to support Munk’s Tony Award nomination is asked to post on Twitter using the hashtag #ApplaudMyTeacher.
