FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): Erin’s House for Grieving Children will be able to allow thousands of kids attend peer support, in-school programs and “Camp Good Grief” for free because of a $15,000 grant.

New York Life Insurance Company gave Erin’s House the Community Impact Grant on Thursday night, according to our news partners at 21Alive.

Erin’s House provides support for children, teens and their families who have had a loved one die, according to its website.

The company receives no money from the government.

“This $15,000 will go a really long way,” Rachel Burkholder with Erin’s House told 21Alive. “It’s removing that barrier of the expense of an additional item for families that have already experienced the loss of an income, let alone struggling to just get by.”

This is the third time New York Life has given Erin’s House a grant. In 2014 and 2015, the company gave them $10,000.
