New York man airlifted after bike crash in Kosciusko County

KOSCIUSKO COUNTY, Ind. (WOWO): A New York man was airlifted to a Fort Wayne hospital after police say he suffered multiple injuries from being hit by a vehicle while riding his bike in Kosciusko County.

At about 10 p.m., a vehicle was traveling north on S.R. 19 near C.R. 600 S. when it crashed into a man on a bike, according to the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department.

The car driver said he didn’t see the bike until he was about to hit it.

The bicyclist had multiple injuries and was airlifted to the hospital in critical condition.

The crash is still under investigation.
