MUNCIE, Ind. (AP): Six tiny homes for homeless people have arrived in Muncie.

The six Amish-built homes with 96-square-feet each of living space each were trucked to Muncie after the nonprofit Bridges Community Services bought them for about $2,600 each. The homes include front porches and were built in Indiana.

The (Muncie) Star Press reports it will cost an additional several hundred dollars per house to add electricity and to finish the interiors. Labor unions and businesses are providing volunteer labor.

The project called PennyLane also includes a building that has showers, restrooms and kitchen facilities.
