Indianapolis Company Expanding, Adding 200 Jobs

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. (WOWO): An Indiana-based healthcare provider announced a major expansion it says will create hundreds of new jobs.

Activate Healthcare Principal Peter Dunn says the firm is spending close to $700,000 to lease and renovate a 3,400 square-foot space on Indianapolis‘ far northside. Dunn says the expansion will create up to 203 new jobs by 2023. Lt. Governor Sue Ellspermann joined Dunn for the announcement Friday.

The state is offering Activate up to $3.9 million in conditional tax credits. Dunn says Activate has more than 22 clinics across the Midwest, 18 of which are in Indiana. Activate works with employers in providing health clinics in the workplace.

Dunn says they plan to open more clinics and the hiring process has already begun. New jobs cover everything from administrative and marketing to technology and finance positions. Activate already employs 110 people in Indiana.
