DEKALB COUNTY, Ind. (WOWO): The Indiana State Police has arrested a 20-year-old Auburn man on one count of rape following a five month long investigation.

Police say that last April, Baraka Branch of Auburn allegedly had sex with a woman at a residence in rural Waterloo, while the victim was unaware of what was happening, according to Indiana State Police.

The investigation began in early May as the ISP worked closely with both the Fort Wayne Sexual Assault Treatment Center and the DeKalb County Prosecutor’s Office.

Branch is facing a single level 3 felony charge of rape. If convicted of the charge, he could spend up to 16 years in jail.
