EACS among state Dept. of Ed’s “Promising Practices” list

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): East Allen County Schools is getting some recognition from the state Department of Education.

The Department recognized 17 “Promising Practices” Tuesday, and the work done by EACS’s East Allen University to help “English Learner” students graduate with Associate’s Degrees was among the honorees.

The Promising Practices program identifies school programs that are student-centered and focus on positively impacting students though innovative programming and activities that provide a high-quality learning environment and experience.

In addition to receiving public recognition, each Promising Practice will be shared with educators and school leaders across the state.
