Two people are dead after a horrific crash on the Indiana Toll Road Thursday.

The Indiana State Police says the crash happened at about 10:19am about 12 miles east of the Angola exit when a semi driven by a Michigan woman crossed the center median into oncoming eastbound traffic and slammed into an eastbound car in the right lane.

The semi ended up rolling over the car, and both vehicles ended up on fire in a ditch. The two people inside the car died at the scene.

The semi driver was taken to an area hospital for treatment. Police don’t believe alcohol was a factor in the crash.
