DEKALB COUNTY, Ind. (WOWO): A Garrett man is facing charges for allegedly stabbing his stepfather.

Indiana State Police say this was around 10:15 pm Tuesday night in the 50 block of Center Street in Waterloo. Our Partners in News at ABC 21 report Justin Shutt, 21 of Garrett, was arguing with his mother. His stepfather tried to break up the argument, but that’s when police say Shutt flashed a pocket knife and stabbed his stepfather in the left arm.

Shutt was arrested and is facing an aggravated battery charge. His stepfather was treated and released from an area hospital.
