UPDATE: Fort Wayne Police have arrested Julio Rodriguez, 47 of Fort Wayne, in connection to a Wednesday morning death investigation at a home on Baxter Street near Weisser Park.

Rodriguez is facing charges of domestic battery causing serious bodily injury and aggravated battery in the death of Lucia Aviles Segura, 41.

Her cause of death is due to multiple sharp force injuries of the neck, and her manner of death is a homicide. She is the 19th homicide victim in Allen County this year. This case remains under investigation.

EARLIER: A woman is dead after what police called a domestic dispute this morning in Fort Wayne.

Police were called to a home on Baxter Street near Weisser Park Avenue at about 6:15am today. Upon arrival, officers discovered the woman who was pronounced dead at the scene.

Rex Smith with our Partners in News at ABC 21 reports that the woman’s husband is a suspect in her death. He and two others in the home, one of which is a teenager, were all taken into custody for questioning by police.

Two dogs were removed from the home by Animal Care and Control for safe keeping.

The name of the victim, as well as the manner and cause of death, will be released at a later time.

The incident remains under investigation.
