Man killed in US 30 crash

KOSCIUSKO COUNTY, Ind. (WOWO): A Starke County man was killed when his car slammed into the back of a semi on US 30 in Kosciusko County this morning.

According to the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department, 40-year-old Kristopher Reed of North Judson was pronounced dead at the scene after his vehicle collided with, and ended up under, a semi-trailer at the intersection with 350 West Road at about 6:40am.

Police say Reed had been eastbound when his vehicle collided with the semi, which was traveling from northbound 350 West onto Westbound US 30 and was slowing or stopping in the median.

The driver of the semi was not injured. The cause of the crash is under investigation.
