FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): A teenager who was fatally shot earlier this week in Fort Wayne has been identified.

The Allen County Coroner’s Office says 16-year-old Xaivion Benson of Fort Wayne was shot in an alley between Monroe and Warsaw streets on the southeast side of town Thursday morning.

Fort Wayne Police found him a little after 3 a.m. and got him to an area hospital, where he died a couple of hours later.

Benson is the 8th homicide victim in Allen County this year. Police are still looking for any information on his death.
