Lincoln Foundation issues $100K grant to Junior Achievement of Northern Indiana

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO) – Junior Achievement of Northern Indiana is getting some support for its elementary programming and JA Finance Park with a $100K grant from the Lincoln Foundation.

These programs are focused at educating and teaching skills to children from elementary school through high school about financial decision making, concepts and economics.

JA elementary students the basics of business and economics.  They learn about career opportunities, economic development and local businesses and what roles and families play in a successful working economy.

The JA Finance Park for middle and high school kids teaches skills, such as, money management and financial literacy.  The students get hands on experience while learning financial concepts like budgets, savings, expenses, retirement planning and incomes.
