FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): Fort Wayne Police and the Allen County Prosecutors office have closed the 2003 homicide case of Joshua Salyer.

Salyer was killed back on Nov. 24, 2003. The suspect, Lawton Carter Jr., died in 2017 before he could be charged with murder.

Police received new information in the middle of last year, conducting more interviews with witnesses and gathering more information the case in order to close it.
