A new GED test?

INDIANA, (WOWO): Leaders with Indiana’s Department of Work Force Development say they’re actively looking for alternatives for the General Educational Development test.

Forty other states are joining in the push for a new test. They hope to have a new test in place by January 1st.

The company that administers the GED announced earlier this year they were doubling the price of the test and would only offer it online. Leaders say the moves will make it difficult for the poor to find testing centers and afford the test.
