FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): An accidental shooting on the city's east side claims one man's life.
Around 8:04 p.m. Saturday evening Fort Wayne Police responded to a report of a shooting at a home in the 1400 block of Landers Ct. When they arrived they found one adult male suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. Officers provided first aid but the victim was declared deceased by medics.
Police say one man was selling a handgun to a family member when it accidentally discharged. It stuck the other man in the chest. There is no foul play suspected and no charges are pending, as police say it appears purely accidental.
