ATV Accident Lands Man In Jail

ROCHESTER, Ind. (WOWO):  An ATV accident turned into drunk driving arrest in Fulton County.

Conservation Officers were responding to an ATV crash on Olson Road, just north of Rochester in Fulton County.  They found 55 year old Charles W. Harding had lost control of his 2007 Suzuki ATV and it flipped over on him.  He was not wearing a helmet and suffered a laceration to the head, but he refused medical treatment.

Officers determined alcohol and excessive speeding contributed to the accident and administered a drunk driving test.  Harding tested .15 at the Fulton County Jail on a breath test machine and booked him on a charge of operating a motor vehicle while intoxicated.

Fulton County roadways are not open to ATV traffic, and Conservation Officers strongly encourage ATV operators to refrain from consuming alcohol and always wear a helmet.
