Albion woman hospitalized after gun fell from tree stand

WOODBURN, Ind. (WOWO): An Albion woman was hospitalized after a hunting incident.

At about 3:50 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 20, a woman was hunting near the 2400 block of River Road in Woodburn. When she was climbing a ladder to a tree stand, she dropped a 16 gauge shotgun, according to Indiana State Police. 

She was shot in the arm when she tried to catch the gun. She was airlifted to a hospital.

Her condition isn’t known at this time. Indiana Conservation Officers are investigating the incident.
