FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): An Allen County Board has given its blessing for a new Fort Wayne drug rehab facility.

The Board of Zoning Appeals approved a request Thursday from Catalpa Street Inc. to use 2720 Culbertson as a new program for recovering drug offenders, with an initial focus on men. If that address sounds familiar, it has housed two other substance abuse programs in the past.

Program Director Linda Higi tells the Journal Gazette the program will take referrals from local courts, but will take people on a volunteer basis, where participants will have to commit to living there and using the drug rehab program for two years.
