Allen County Juvenile Center Opens New Computer Lab

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): The Allen County Juvenile Center has a new computer lab to help at-risk youth with their education.

According to the Journal Gazette, the lab was unveiled yesterday and is housed in an old cafeteria, which was originally built as a computer lab.

Any student who was suspended from school or who participates in the juvenile center's Allen County Learning Academy will be able to use the lab. The AJC will also offer the lab as an alternative to detention.

Computers were by the  “refresh program” with the Allen County’s Information Technology department. The total project cost about $5,000.
