Anthony Wayne Statue Staying Put

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): After all the controversy surrounding the moving of the General Anthony Wayne Statue, it's going to stay put in Freimann square. Some opponents were concerned about what the move would do to the architecture and appearance of the Allen County Courthouse if the statue was moved there; most were just upset about the cost: $75,000. Now, according to our partners in news at 21 Alive, a deal has been made, and the statue is going to stay put in Freimann square–with the Preservation Trust paying around $100,000 worth of improvements around the current area of the statue and some to the statue itself.
