FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): A pair of area colleges will be getting a share of money from Northeast Indiana’s Regional Cities fund.

Trine University and the University of Saint Francis will each get $2.8-million for improvement projects, according to the Journal Gazette. USF will use their portion of the cash to renovate a pair of buildings on their downtown Fort Wayne campus, while Trine will put the money toward a hockey arena and other athletic facilities on their campus in Angola.

The Northeast Indiana Regional Development Authority also received requests for funding from Embassy Theatre and the DeKalb County YMCA yesterday. Those proposals could be voted on next month.
