Authorities Stumble Upon Waterloo Pot Growing Operation

WATERLOO, Ind. (WOWO): DeKalb County officials seized a marijuana-growing operation in Waterloo Sunday.

A DeKalb County sheriff's deputy was actually doing an investigation at a different home on South Oak Street when he noticed a strong odor of marijuana. 

Police searched the home and found 22 marijuana plants, growing equipment, drug paraphernalia, prescription medication, and a large amount of raw marijuana. 

At this time, Paulus Gene Sheets is charged with maintaining a common nuisance and neglect of a dependent, along with other misdemeanors. His 11 year old daughter was also inside the home at the time of the seizure.
