Autopsies for a woman and 2 kids are to be done today…

NEW ALBANY, Ind. (AP) _ A county coroner in southern Indiana is doing autopsies on the bodies of a woman and two children who were found in a shallow creek in New Albany.

Floyd County Coroner Leslie (Keh-nay-bull) Knable says preliminary results will be released Thursday afternoon. Police recovered the bodies Wednesday.

New Albany Police Maj. Keith Whitlow says there are no obvious signs of foul play but the deaths are being treated as homicides. He told the News and Tribune of Jeffersonville that one of the children was about 2 years old and the other was an adolescent.

The victims’ names have not been released. Whitlow did not immediately respond to messages left Thursday by The Associated Press.
