Bates Seeking GOP Nod for State Treasurer

INDIANAPOLIS (AP): A Richmond financial adviser is seeking the Indiana Republican Party's nomination for treasurer. Don Bates Jr. says he will seek the statewide office overseeing investments and other areas. He is set to face Marion Mayor Wayne Seybold and local investment director Kelly Mitchell in next year's Republican Party convention battle.
