Berne Manufacturing Company Adding 73 Jobs

BERNE, Ind. (WOWO): A manufacturing company in Berne is going to be adding 73 jobs.

FCC makes automatic transmission clutches. According to the Journal-Gazette, it announced this week that it will be expanding its Berne operations by creating 73 new jobs by 2016. 

It also will be investing about $128.6 million to expand its 295,000 square foot facility by an additional 140,000 square feet. Construction is expected to start this month. 

As for the new jobs, they'll begin hiring production and assembly workers later this year. 

The company currently employs 340 people in Berne and has expanded 5 times since opening the Berne facility in 2003.
