FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): U.S. Congressman Marlin Stuzman will be at a press conference on Saturday morning for the re-opening of the ICU at the Northern Indiana VA hospital in Fort Wayne. 

In 2012, the hospital put a hold on inpatient services due to staffing shortages and questionable administrative care. According to a press release, Congressman Stutzman and Joe Donnelly requested the VA Office of the Inspector General to review the overall quality of care and management to determine how to reopen the facility.

After nearly two years, the Fort Wayne VA hospital is planning to resume their inpatient services and open an intensive care unit. Congressman Stuzman will be there to particpate in the event from 9:30 a.m. to 10:00 a.m.

Congressman Stuzman represents the 3rd Congressional District of Indiana.
