A Berne auto parts manufacturing plant is closing. Ficosa North America announced they plan to trim nearly 140 jobs by May 31. Operations reportedly will be shifted to other facilities. The company says talks are underway to sell the plant, but no word if any jobs would be retained. Less than two years ago, 175 workers were also laid off from that same Berne factory.
