STEUBEN COUNTY, Ind. (WOWO): Hamilton Police are warning residents that there are numerous bison on the loose.

The department posted the warning on their Facebook page on Sunday. The bison were last reported to be in the area between Johnson Lake Road to E. Bellefontaine Road and west of 100 East to 200 East.

Police warn residents to not approach the bison and to use caution driving in those areas. They recommend to drive below the speed limit because the bison are not easy to see.
