Boyfriend of Missing Shelbyville Woman Arrested

SHELBYVILLE, Ind. (AP) _ Authorities searching for a missing central Indiana woman have discovered what they believe to be human remains and have arrested the woman's boyfriend.

Shelbyville police said Wednesday they arrested 46-year-old Scott Wayne Schuck on a preliminary charge of voluntary manslaughter in the 2010 disappearance of 33-year-old Rebecca Cassidy. Schuck was being held without bond.

Shelbyville Police Chief Keith England says officers discovered what they believe to be human remains near Schuck's home.

Schuck has maintained he had nothing to do with Cassidy's disappearance and that he has cooperated with authorities. As police and forensic anthropologists dug Tuesday, he told reporters, “They ain't going to find nothing.''

Shelbyville is about 20 miles southeast of Indianapolis.
