BREAKING: Governor Wants Resolution by End of the Week Clarifying RFRA

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. (WOWO): During a press conference Tuesday afternoon at the Indiana State Library in Indianapolis, Governor Mike Pence declared that he wants a resolution on his desk by the end of the week clarifying the Religious Freedom Restoration Act.

During the press conference, Pence said he thought the Religious Freedom bill was an appropriate addition to Indiana statues.

Earlier Tuesday afternoon, during an appearance on Fox & Friends, the Governor said that opponents have “mischaracterized'' the law. He blamed those misconceptions on “some on the left'' and “some in the national media.''

He went on to say that the law was never intended to allow businesses to deny services to people based on who they care about.
