STEUBEN COUNTY, Ind. (WOWO): A 2-year-old boy was sent to a hospital after a buggy ran over him.

At about 8 p.m., a toddler was thrown from a buggy on East Teegarden Road in Steuben County, according to the Steuben County Sheriff’s Office.

After the boy fell out for the buggy, the buggy ran over his upper chest. He was then airlifted to a hospital.

Police say the horse pulling the buggy began jerking back and forth, which is what caused the boy to fall out.

It’s not known why the horse started to jerk back and forth.
