ANDREWS, Ind. (WOWO): The floodwaters are becoming a thing of the past in the Upper Wabash region.

All electric campsites at the Salamonie Lake in Andrews have re-opened due to the flood waters receding.

The Indiana Department of Natural Resources warns that campsites are free of grass or vegetation due to prolonged flooding. Boat ramps at Salamonie Lake are open again as well, but courtesy docks are closed.

Meanwhile, all campsites at the neighboring Mississinewa Lake near Peru will remain closed for at least a couple more weeks due to flooding. The only things that have returned to normal at that lake are the Red Bridge and Francis Slocum boat ramps.
