Carmel to Corrall Coyotes

CARMEL, Ind. (WOWO): A possible coyote sighting in an Indianapolis neighborhood is prompting a discussion about the wild dogs across the state.

Indiana Conservation Police Officer Jet Quillen says, they get reports about coyote‘s constantly, but in an area with a relatively high population density.

Quillen says as we‘ve moved into what used to be coyote territory, and it has pushed the adaptable animal to other areas, sometimes urban.

If you are worried about coyotes, Quillen suggests bringing your pets in at night, and he says DON‘T leave food outside.

Officials in Carmel are expect to hire trappers to capture the animals.
