FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): Fort Wayne residents are being asked to take part in the City of Fort Wayne’s Great American Cleanup. It’s an annual nationwide event involving families, churches, youth groups, and schools. Last year, more than 190,000 pounds of litter and debris was collected from neighborhoods, parks, roads, trails, and riverbanks in Fort Wayne. If you would like to register, you can go to cityoffortwayne.org/greatamericancleanup or just call 311. This year's event will take place May 17.
