Clarksville Town Court Judge Charged with Misconduct

INDIANAPOLIS (AP) _ The Indiana Commission on Judicial Qualifications has filed a misconduct charge against a southern Indiana judge following a drunken driving arrest.

The commission said Tuesday that the charge against Clarksville Town Court Judge Mickey Weber stems from his January misdemeanor arrest in Kentucky for operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol. Weber self-reported the arrest to the commission.

Weber pleaded guilty in March in Jefferson District Court in Louisville, Kentucky, to misdemeanor charges of criminal mischief and operating a motor vehicle while under the influence. He was ordered to complete an alcohol education class, assessed fines and given a license suspension.

The commission says Weber can answer the charge within 20 days.

A message seeking comment was left for Weber at the court on Tuesday.
