FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): The effects of last week’s brutally cold temperatures are still being felt by some area school districts.

A few buildings were damaged by the record-setting cold temps, with the Journal Gazette reporting that includes Hamilton Community Schools dealing with burst water pipes in their elementary schools, and another set of bust pipes causing flooding in Fort Wayne Community Schools’ Family and Community Engagement Center.

Purdue Fort Wayne also had problems, both with water pipes and a ceiling heater coil, causing damage at the Rhinehart Music Center and Helmke Library.

We’re expected to drop back below freezing temperatures Thursday night into Friday.
