Collector Delivers Postcard to Soldier’s Family

PERU, Ind. (AP): A World War II soldier’s postcard has finally reached his family in Indiana. Private Joseph Brough wrote the postcard before his plane went down in the Pacific Ocean in 1944. John Schlatter bought the postcard last year on eBay and wrote the Peru newspaper editor for help. A high school classmate of Brough’s son connected Schlatter with the family.
