Committee Appointed to Study IPFW Concerns

FORT WAYNE, Ind (WOWO): The Indiana House of Representatives passed legislation co-sponsored by Rep. Phil GiaQuinta that establishes a Study Committee to focus on IPFW concerns.

The committee will study the governance and operations of Purdue regional campuses, particularly IPFW, to determine how to run the university more effectively.

“Some people have ideas that would make IPFW more independent,” GiaQuinta explained. “Maybe they will work, maybe they won’t. The purpose of this committee is to study the issues and explore different approaches to improving the university for its students, faculty, staff, and the community as a whole.

“Regional campuses have their own concerns,” he continued. <em>“We just want to make sure everyone’s voice is heard.”
