FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): Construction hasn’t even started on an apartment project that was scheduled to be finished this summer in downtown Fort Wayne.

Real America owns the Superior Lofts complex, which is located on the corner of S. Calhoun and W. Superior Streets. A developer said the project is on hold, according to our news partners at 21Alive.

The complex is expected to have about 70 loft-style apartments. The city doesn’t have any risk in the project because RealAmerica owns the property.

City council did approve a 10 year $1.6 million tax abatement, but the developer won’t earn any of the tax break until the work is finished.
