FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): A man was shot to death in Fort Wayne last night.

Fort Wayne Police were called to a home on St. Marys Avenue, near the intersection with Sinclair Street, at about 7:30pm Sunday over a possible shooting in the area. When they arrived they found the man in critical condition inside the house.

He died a short time later. A person living in an upstairs apartment at the residence was not injured, and police have checked with neighbors to see if anyone knows what happened.

A portion of St. Marys Avenue was closed between Sinclair and Third Street for the investigation, which is still underway.
