Controversial Fort Wayne Bar Gets Favorable Ruling From Judge

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): A Fort Wayne sports bar that has had its shares of trouble in recent years may get to keep its license after all.

A preliminary ruling by a hearing judge with the Indiana Alcohol and Tobacco Commission went in favor of the Sports and Spirits bar on East Wayne Street.

The judge ruled that there was no evidence of marijuana that was smoked at the bar and the local decision to deny the liquor license was based on a felony charge that was dismissed.

The Journal-Gazette reports the Allen County Alcoholic Beverage Commission can still object and that the four member state Alcohol and Tobacco Commission could still accept or reject the findings in a future meeting.
